Having grown up in the quaint town of Kulim, only a few kilometres away to the vibrant picturesque city of Penang, she experiences both the naïve and innocent kampung way of life as well as the dynamic and lively exciting city life.  Exposed to the abundance of many forms of art in Penang, Andrea has always been fascinated by them and she assuredly embraces her love of the printed and painted art depicting the everyday simplicity of her childhood memories in Kulim.

Over the years, her love for portrait painting and doodling grew tremendously. Andrea experimented with watercolour, paint, charcoal, digital art, whatever she fancies. As she matures, her rhythmic compositions convey mixed feelings of childhood whimsy with bitty elements of surprise. Currently, her creations are a marriage of classic potrait painting style influenced with her signature style of face and figures in bursting bold colours, often depicting fantastical yet whimsical emotions and stories with a realistic approach.  With no previous experience or schooled with art techniques from anyone at all, she paves her own way, goes on to practise by copying and doing paintings with her own unique interpretation. She uses whatever medium  and colours around her, paper, canvas, planks, recycle old posters as well as acrylic, oil pastels, colour pencils and even face make ups! She's that unconventional artist that just grip whatever she has around and makes art, hence the marked untouched rawness in her signature of art.
